Dominic Lam

Chairman

Dr. Dominic Man‑Kit Lam is a Chinese-born physician, scientist, artist, and entrepreneur, widely regarded as a modern Renaissance figure. He studied in Canada, completing degrees in mathematics, physics, and medical biophysics in rapid succession before moving into vision research.​

At 24, Lam joined the faculty of Harvard Medical School, where he taught and carried out research in ophthalmology. He later became a professor of ophthalmology at Baylor College of Medicine in Texas, helped launch Texas’s biotechnology industry, and went on to found the Hong Kong Institute of Biotechnology, co-develop plant‑based “edible vaccines,” and build a parallel international career as the inventor of Chromoskedasic Painting and the founder–chairman of the World Eye Organization.

Torsten Wiesel

Honorary President

Torsten Wiesel is a Swedish neurophysiologist and Nobel laureate best known for his groundbreaking research on how the brain processes visual information. Born in 1924, he received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1981 (shared with David Hubel and Roger Sperry) for discoveries about the visual cortex, particularly how the brain interprets signals from the eyes and the critical period of visual development. Wiesel served on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and later became president of Rockefeller University, making substantial contributions to both neuroscience and academic leadership.

His unique perspective and lifelong commitment to pioneering new standards in medicine inspire the continuous evolution and collaboration among Global Doctors Institute members.

He holds strong network with academic and professional circles in Hong Kong and China and has been involved in discussions and forums related to science and innovation in China and Hong Kong.

He holds the position of President at Global Doctors Institute renowned for developing and scaling innovative healthcare ventures, he has been instrumental in launching and managing international medical projects, connecting experts and clinics around the world.

Coco Tan is a distinguished entrepreneur and a passionate advocate for fostering connections between scientists, healthcare professionals, and patients. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems of the University for Applied Science Hamburg. Leveraging her extensive business expertise and in-depth knowledge of integrative therapies, she provides strategic consulting to clinics and facilitates collaborative networks aimed at enhancing patient care and clinic growth.

Having successfully overcome cancer herself through advanced integrative medicine over 25 years ago, Coco is now a dedicated supporter of the Global Doctors Institute. Her commitment to advancing integrative healthcare continues to drive innovation and excellence within the industry.

Thomson Wong is a Hong Kong-based management consultant and ISO certification expert with over 30 years of experience in enterprise optimisation. As General Manager and Chief Consultant of BPI Consultants International Ltd., he has served major clients including MTR, GE, Peninsula Hotel, New World Group, and 360 You Pin, helping them achieve over 300% business growth while cutting costs by more than 30%.​

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems from the University of Hong Kong and is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Certified Auditors (F0275), with certifications as a Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 and other standards. Wong has authored books like ISO. Enterprise Management 2.0 earned awards such as 2021 Best Management Consultant and 2006 Asia’s Top 10 Corporate Trainer, and appeared as a food safety expert on TVB programs.
